From production operator to Global Program Manager

I spent 25 years in a department where I loved my team, but hated what I did. I then found a mentor in DEI, someone who helped guide my passion, and provided me with opportunities to show off my talents. This developed into a job in DEI as the ERG Program Manger, which eventually led to my current role as the Global Employee Referral Program manager in Talent Innovation.

Helping to bring top talent to Micron

I manage Micron's Employee Referral Program, I help elevate the program, and educate Micron's team members on how to use the program. I also investigate issues if a referral bonus was not paid, as well as answer team member's questions. I enhance the program and help create branding and heighten communication around the program.

Working with Micron Team Members!

I get to interact with Micron team members around the globe. I work with Recruiting to determine how we can improve the program, and pull metrics to see how we are doing on meeting our referral goals. I work with global communications, talent acquisition, DEI and other teams to help refine the referral program to meet our needs. I also have the honor of being part of an awesome group of professionals in Talent Innovation!

FIND A MENTOR!

The one thing you can do to elevate your own career is find a mentor. Someone who can guide and support you! Micron is a large company, and there are many different types of jobs available. In my tenure I have been in production, supervisory roles, training, quality, DEI and talent innovation. Your career opportunities are as endless as your imagination. Don't be afraid to take a chance. I would also recommend being a life long learner. Don't be afraid of learning a new skill, or enhance the ones you already have.

I started Micron's pronoun campaign

As a founding member of Micron's PRIDE + Allies ERG and a co-lead at the time, I encouraged all PRIDE members to put their pronouns in their email signatures, we then were able to have pronouns added to our accounts in Workday (and zoom).
