Hello Anand, I hope you are doing well in your job search. Here are some general tips for becoming a stronger candidate.
- Read the job description thoroughly to understand the role responsibilities and qualifications, as well as the company's website to learn about their values.
- Tailor your resume and cover letter to highlight skills that are directly applicable or relevant to the job, as well as any experience that showcases your shared values.
- Broaden your search. Perhaps the roles you are applying for are looking for people with different skills or levels of experience. Try searching for a different position, such as Engineer instead of Principal Engineer. If you are open to moving, you can also apply to open positions in other sites since Micron is a global company.
- Regarding the visa I do not have personal experience; however, Micron is a diverse company, and our job postings clearly state applicants are protected against discrimination for national origin: "All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran or disability status."
I hope these tips are helpful! Please continue searching for open positions at micron.com/careers as we have many opportunities available.
