Graduated in Exercise Science and landed in recruiting!
After graduating, I didn't know where I wanted to end up as a professional. Moving to a new location each year allowed me to take risks in my post-graduate career from accepting a part-time, seasonal role at a resort to quitting my job for one year and moving across the globe. Living by the message of never saying "no" to an opportunity and always making the most of it has landed me where I am. For me, tenacity doesn't just apply at work, but in life!
Connecting students with fulfilling internships and full-time roles
As a Sr. University Recruiter I am responsible for building and maintaining relationships with strategic University partners and students. Recruiting from all disciplines from engineering to business, I work to identify talent that will add skills and perspectives to our team. I am excited by coaching students on finding the right role for them and also ensure that students are challenged and fulfilled as they enter our company as an intern or full-time team member. I recruit for Micron to ensure our future success!
Bringing in talent to help shape our future
Early career talent is crucial to the success of our business. The opportunity to work with new professionals is inspiring and challenging in new ways each day! I learn from each candidate that I speak with and use what I am taught to further build on our success. Always searching for new ways to find diverse talent and building individual relationships has pushed me through some of the the most challenging days. I strive to provide opportunities for students that are passionate about making a difference and contributing to our Mission!
Be yourself, stay curious.
I once told someone that I looked up to that I wanted to "Be just like them one day." She looked at me and replied, "You don't want to be like me, there is only one you. Be like you." This message has continued to stick with me over the past years. When looking for a new opportunity, you want to be considered for who you are as your whole self. There is no reason to conform to what you think the company or employer wants you to be, no job or company is worth sacrificing who you are.
Always seek out varying opinions and surround yourself with people that will challenge you. Ask how you can improve, admit when you make mistakes, and be there to inspire and create change in others when given the opportunity.
