I'd estimate a 30/70 split between maintaining old projects and running new projects. One reason I enjoy my job is because each project is so different, therefore the details of my daily routine keep changing, but generally I can focus most of my time on new projects, or at least give them priority. Since my role is in process improvement, I do deep-dives on processes with difficult obstacles and work with process stewards, end users, and other subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather as much information as possible. Then I break it down and synthesize it into process maps and charts to define "who, what, when, and how" so we can discuss pathways to reduce cycle time. Therefore, my daily schedule ebbs and flows with information-gathering sessions and individual focus time to digest information and build maps and charts. Then, of course, there are weekly or monthly standing meetings and tasks to keep improvements launched from previous projects moving forward.
