Process Engineer
Process engineer work is primarily a desk job; some examples of common computer tasks are using software to monitor SPC charts, set up experiments and analyze data, and any work related to ongoing projects such as cost savings, etc. Meetings are common, such as daily area overview meetings, weekly or biweekly discussions on status of projects and department goal reviews, and various others like training courses. When working on-site you can also don a cleanroom suit to go into the fab and see the process equipment in person, whether there is ongoing maintenance or repairs or even a new tool install, which is a great opportunity to engage with equipment engineers, technicians, and vendors to gain more in-depth knowledge about the tools.
