I just applied to the wet PDE position and am wondering what areas or skills I should be working on in order to move forward in this industry. Thank you for your time!

Hello, my best advice for this question is to find some roles that you are interested in and look at the job descriptions. These will outline exactly what those types of roles are looking for and will point you in the right direction. Some specific skills that I look for in process engineers when I hire is troubleshooting skills, ability to work on a team, knowledge of statistics/statistical process control, communication skills, and of course the education background/experience. Specific to PDE, I'd recommend having strong skills in running DOE, project management skills and the ability to work with others.
