Product Engineer
In my current role the most valuable qualities that help me succeed are communication and organization.
Communication is a key part of being able to complete tasks at work, whether it is sending an email out with results from an experiment or asking someone for their opinion on a data set or help in understanding a new topic. A lot of my day to day work is spent collaborating with different people in different teams, and being able to effectively communicate helps make that go much smoother.
I also say organization because I never have just one task to do a day, it's a list of items and each has its own priority within my team and sometimes with other teams too. It's important to stay organized so nothing gets missed or falls in the cracks when you are moving from one priority to the next. It also helps to be organized when you get asked about a report you sent out a few weeks back and being able to quickly pull it up to refresh your own memory about it.
