How is this company different from your expectations?

I was initially nervous to accept a job at Micron's main site in Boise, Idaho, because of generalized assumptions about the political climate in this state. However, I was pleasantly surprised that the executive leadership and middle management make an effort to be as inclusive as possible. Diversity is valued here and, even though this industry is traditionally male-dominated, as a female engineer I have never felt like my voice was not heard. There are also a variety of Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) to help people connect with and support each other, such as PRIDE+, BEN (Black Employees Network), MWLN (Micron Women's Leadership Network), MHP (Micron Hispanic Professionals), MOSAIC (multi-nationality), and Capable (accessibility).
