Kamille G.
Sr. Technical Recruiter
In the technical recruiting space, there are a few areas that have been challenging during the past few months. Firstly, finding and engaging with the right talent has been tough, because well qualified talent is being approached by more than one company, and candidates may have more than one offer to compare. How do you make your company stand apart from the crowd? Secondly, once you've engaged with highly qualified talent, selling a job opportunity that may require relocating in a disruptive market is tough. Why leave the comfort of a known entity, and embrace change with the unknown? Oftentimes demonstrating a career path and opportunity for growth can help close these candidates. Lastly, engaging with candidates who have potential, but may not demonstrate the matching skill set of the job requirements can sometimes be a tough, if you don't have a specific call to action right now, but would like to build a relationship for future opportunities. It's a tough market, that's for sure, but if you can find the right person, with the right skillset, setting expectations throughout the conversation can help to close these candidates on future opportunities. Hope this helps to answer your question.
